Puzzles of Color Gives Back to Richardson ISD with Special Puzzle Donation and Interactive Learning with Puzzle Club

Allen, TX — September 17, 2024

Puzzles of Color, a Richardson-based business, had the honor of returning to its roots this week. Co-founders Ericka Chambers and William Jones visited Curtis Middle School, where they attended, to speak with students in the special needs program about the joy of puzzles, the process of creating puzzles, and the ins and out of entrepreneurship.

During the visit, the team met a student who recently launched Curtis Middle School’s first-ever Puzzle Club. Her love for both puzzles and art brought together many other students seeking to explore more of their own creativity and personal interests. To celebrate the beginnings of the puzzle club, Puzzles of Color presented its' founder with a custom made puzzle featuring her very own artwork.

“These students are a great example of how art and puzzles can come together to build confidence and connect communities,” said Ericka Chambers. “We were honored to share our journey as creatives and entrepreneurs and show them possibilities they can aspire to.”

To continue in the spirit of giving, Puzzles of Color donated 100 puzzles to Richardson ISD—enough for every campus library in the district. With this donation, students across RISD can access to challenge of puzzles in their learning environment.

“Puzzles are fun—they can also be tools for learning and development,” said William Jones “We’re feel grateful that our puzzles can be a part of these early milestones students experience in these school-age years.”

The team extends their heartfelt thanks to the educators and administrators who made this day possible, especially Keisha Smith and Sonya Parker Goode, for their support and dedication to student enrichment.
